As the Head Chef, you will lead all three of Sahanlahti’s restaurants and develop concepts and food products. Your tasks will include kitchen work, business development, and leadership responsibilities such as menu planning, ordering ingredients, networking with local producers, maintaining profitability, budgeting, developing quality control, and minimizing waste. Additionally, you will be responsible for recruiting and onboarding new employees. You will work closely with other leaders as well as sales and marketing teams.
We are looking for an experienced professional with strong experience in kitchen management. We hope that our new head chef will bring qualities such as creativity, as well as an understanding of Sahanlahti’s history, regional local food, and the importance of collaboration.
The position starts in February or as agreed. The employment is permanent.

- Strong experience in kitchen leadership roles
- A diverse work background in chef and head chef roles in Finland and possibly abroad
- Good leadership skills
- Willingness and readiness to participate in chef tasks as well
- Financial understanding in menu planning, budgeting, and inventory management
- Enthusiasm and motivation to develop our operations
- Flexibility and stress tolerance
- A desire to commit to our long-term goals
- A hygiene certificate
- Fluent Finnish and English language skills
